About me

Previously studying at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo for a business degree and several years in retail with Sears Canada Inc., I started to pursue a career in horticulture and landscape at Algonquin College.  During my first course; I learned that I could become a landscape designer.  Some of my earliest memories were of being in the garden and this has been my passion ever since.

After completing my diploma at Algonquin College in 2000, I began working at Yards Unlimited Landscaping as a Landscape Designer.  In 2005, I obtained my professional designation as a Certified Landscape Designer through the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association.

I started my own company, Patricia Stanish Landscape Design, in 2008.  I enjoy working for myself and pursuing different projects. I have worked on a variety of landscapes both residential and commercial. My customers tell me I listen carefully and deliver.

With 16 years experience as a Landscape Designer, Certified in 2005, I have a strong customer service orientation. Customers repeatedly tell me that I listen to them carefully, resulting in unique designs tailored to the individual homeowner, respecting their needs and creating landscapes that inspire them to go outside into their gardens.

My Vision

My Vision is to create unique, quality and buildable landscapes that reflect the taste and needs of the clients I serve. I love to get people outdoors and engaged in their garden living spaces.

I am a member of Landscape Ontario and have been on their Ottawa Chapter Board of Directors for five years. I have also donated my services to not for profit organizations such as CHEO(Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario) and Habitat for Humanity.
